Hot Springs Cyanobacteria Endowed with Biological Activities for Cosmetic Applications: Evaluation of On-Site Collected Communities and Isolated Strains

چکیده
Microbial communities growing around hot springs (bioglea), of which cyanobacteria are the main components, contribute to beneficial properties thermal muds and often enter cosmetic treatment products. Bioglea is obtainable via alternative approaches harvesting from nature: direct cultivation whole isolation isolated strains. Cultivation represents a step towards industrial production, guaranteeing higher availability, quality safety. In this work, biochemical composition natural cultivated bioglea collected in different cyanobacterial strains thereof was analysed. Lipophilic hydrophilic extracts were tested for antimicrobial radical scavenging activities toxicity against Artemia salina. Higher activity found lipophilic than opposite isolates’ extracts. Thermal water also showed some activity. No observed. positively correlated with carotenoids (lipophilic extracts) phycobiliproteins (hydrophilic extracts). correlation observed at 10 L scale Chroococcidiopsis BIOG3 evidenced bioactivity changes growth phase life cycle stage. From comparison, potential over single cultivation; however, further investigations should elucidate full by combining them into synthetic simplify production standardisation.

Phage Communities in Hot Springs
Boiling thermal pools are unique ecosystems to study microbial ecology, biogeochemistry and evolution, because they are physically isolated from other ecosystems, they are relatively biologically simple, and they are among the most hostile environments known. The water column of boiling hot springs represents an extreme environment that has not been previously explored for viruses or microbes. ...
متن کاملAntimicrobial activity of Cyanobacteria isolated from hot spring of Geno
Cyanobacteria, the blue green algae are one of the most diverse groups of Gram-negative photosynthetic prokaryotes widely distributed throughout the world. Cyanobacteria are known to produce a wide range of secondary metabolites with various biological actions. The aim of this study was to test extracts from various cyanobacteria isolated from Geno hot spring, Bandar Abbas (Iran) against a dive...

Thiosemicarbazides are potent intermediates for the synthesis of pharmaceutical and bioactive materials and thus, they are used extensively in the field of medicinal chemistry. The imine bond (-N=CH-) in these compounds are useful in organic synthesis, in particular for the preparation of heterocycles and non-natural β-aminoacids.In this paper the synthesis of some new thiosemicarbazide derivat...
متن کاملDraft Genome Sequences of Two Thermotolerant Cyanobacterial Strains Isolated from Hot Springs
We report here two draft cyanobacterial genome sequences, those of Cyanobacterium aponinum IPPAS B-1201, isolated from a hot spring in the Turgen Gorge (Kazakhstan), and the uncharacterized cyanobacterium IPPAS B-1203, isolated from a hot spring in Karlovy Vary (Czech Republic). These two strains were deposited at the Collection of Microalgae (IPPAS) of the Timiryazev Institute of Plant Physiol...
